Karen Cobb, a Southern California native, is an award-winning vocalist, songwriter, music producer and Orange County’s Entertainer of the Year 2002. She is a featured performer for several community and LGBTQ events.
With hundreds of karaoke and singing competition championships under her belt, Karen is a world-class Mistress of Ceremonies and karaoke connoisseur for over ten years. She participated in 100s of karaoke contests throughout Southern California where she won dozens of prizes and titles. Because of be exposed to so many successful and unsuccessful shows Karen began hosing Karaoke and from that Kacey’s Karaoke and Photobooth was born. As the proprietor of this mobile company, Karen expanded the boundaries of the classic Karaoke showcase outside the “bar” box and created a one-of-a-kind self-contained karaoke experience that can be hosted in any venue. She accomplished this with a proprietary, user-friendly digital interface.
Before her work with Kacey’s Karaoke, she produced and recorded three studio albums from 2002 to 2013: “It’s All About Me,” “Happy” and the highly-reviewed “Where It Begins.” As a singer, songwriter, and music producer who performs in clubs throughout Southern California, her style is a fusion of Pop, R&B, Jazz, Hip-Hop and Country. Karen also performed and MC’d in the Divalicious Showcase and has produced weekly singing shows for the last 20 years. She has earned a Billboard award for her song “It’s All About Me” and her single “Issues” is showcased on the soundtrack for the feature film “Nudity Required.”
Karen performed with legendary musician Kevin Flournoy (co-produced Big Mountain) and opened for Lainie Kazan (Beaches and The Nanny fame). She has also has performed with Jeff Harris Company, a five-piece live band, T.N.T. (acoustic duo), created a cabaret Diva show and was one half of a duo with pianist Johnny English. She is a gifted and versatile vocalist whose signature style creates an intimate connection with her audience and conveys deep resonance of the songs she sings.
In addition to her entrepreneurial pursuits, Karen conceived and produced a television reality pilot inspired by her struggles and successes as an up and coming singing diva.
She attended the America Academy of Dramatic Arts (AADA) where she trained in acting and musical theater.
When asked what drives her passion, she answers; "To be an authentic voice and tool for God by giving back to the world what he has given me. I feel blessed to be able to express myself as a singer and songwriter. I pray that whatever I do in my life will bring people joy."
